[“Shall I my righteous zeal suppress]

With what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged. —vii. 2.

Shall I my righteous zeal suppress,
Or openly the truth declare?”
The rigorous, rash, unjust excess
You must in pitying love forbear,
Your bitterness and wrath forego,
To sin severe, to sinners kind;
For mercy who refuse to show,
Shall judgment without mercy find.
