Dear Sir:

Somewhere among the hundreds
of University students, there is a
Good Samaritan whom I should
like to thank again. On Saturday of
Easter's weekend, I was caught in
the traffic jam on Carr's Hill Road
and when finally getting into the
steady stream of cars on Route
250, my car stalled. Out of the blue
came this young gentleman who,
leaving his date, jumped in my car
and started me safely on my way.

This curious act on the part
of this student convinces me more
strongly than ever that below the
surface of long hair and beards
there are the same gentlemanly
instincts that we have always
considered a characteristic of students
of the University of Virginia.
