The schools of scribes, and courts of kings,
The learn'd and great He passes by,
Chooses the weak and foolish things,
His power and grace to testify;
Plain simple men His call endues
With power and wisdom from above;
And such He still vouchsafes to use,
Who nothing know but Jesus' love.
