Against a Churle or thankles person.

A Cuntry wight with pitty prickt,
(as writers earst haue told)
Tooke vp a Snake rakt vp in snow,
quight curld almost with cold.
And plast hym in his bosom warme:
againe to life once brought,
He strikes and stings the man to death,
that for hym so had wrought.
Unthankfull as thou art, euen so
thy frend thou dost requite:
Thou givst hym for a Pearch receavd,
a Scorpion that doth bite.
