the Valley and Blue Ridge
Mountains of Virginia. The account includes a short description
of a black church in Lexington. The journal was
privately printed in 1970 as The Journals of Mary Jane Boggs Holladay. 1851-1861, and portions of it were published in
the Virginia Magazine of History and Biography 77
