CISTERCIAN ORDER:
founded in 1098 by Robert of Molesme as the White Monks, at Cîteaux in Burgundy. It is a strict religious Order based on the RULE of SAINT BENEDICT. Historically the Cistercians played an important role in the development of agriculture especially in England.
