[Jesus, Angel of the Lord]
Take away the filthy garments from him.
—iii. 4.
Jesus, Angel of the Lord,
I stand before Thy face,
Foul, and by myself abhorr'd,
I humbly sue for grace;
Take these filthy rags away,
My guilt, and inbred sin remove,
In Thy righteousness array,
And crown me with Thy love.
