I will gather them that are sorrowful, &c.

Head of Thy church, for Thee we look
Her long captivity to turn,
Whose solemn feasts despised, forsook,
Whose desolate estate we mourn:
With sorrow her reproach we bear,
But plead the sure, prophetic word,
And wait, in answer of our prayer,
To see Jerusalem restored.
