In an outlandish Port, where there were storeOf bloudy Pyrats taken on the shore,
The Magistrate did build (of squared stone)
A payre of Gallowes, for to hang them on.
And being askt, why they so strong were made,
Replied; that woodden Gallowes soone decaid,
They would not last one age; but now his care,
Had built strong Gallowes for himselfe, and 's heire
