Continuing with its busy
schedule, the crew team is sending a
boat of four to two important
regattas in June. Harrison
O'Connor, Steve Platt, Jack
Plackter, and Tom Lincoln will man
this boat that will row in the IRA
at Lake Onandoga in Syracuse June
12th-14th, and the American Henley
Regatta at Worcester, Massachusetts,
June 7th.
Howard White, highly sought after
black basketball star at Kecoughtan
High School in Newport News
yesterday announced he had signed
a grant-in-aid to attend the University
of Maryland next fall. White
had apparently narrowed his choice
to Virginia and Maryland before
announcing his signing yesterday.
