REPORT ON CAPITAL CAMPAIGN
The President reported that the Capital Campaign is going well. It has reached 62.8 million dollars on the way to a 90 million dollar goal. He said this portion of the campaign is the most difficult. He advised that donors have been more willing so far to give money for professorships than they have for "bricks and mortar". In conclusion, he advised that area campaigns are now beginning, and that there will be an emphasis on soliciting funds for the Jefferson Scholars Program. Finally Mr. Hereford said that these gifts will not overcome the effects of the large budget cuts imposed by the State. A detailed report on campaign contributions was distributed to the Board.
