Vidnovic Is Virginia Native
Vidnovic, who hails from
Falls Church, Va., is one of the
many high school prospects
who decided to go to greener
pastures south of us rather
than to their own state
university.
Against his native school,
Vidnovic tossed two
touchdown passes and ran for
another six-pointer. In the first
period, the JEB Stuart
high-schooler threw five yards
to end Charles Waddell and in
the third quarter, he connected
with wingback Jimmy Jerome
on a 71 yard pass-run
touchdown play, in the Tar
Heels 23-3 victory over the
Cavaliers.
Duke safety Cox made 13
unassisted tackles in the Blue
Devils' loss to Wake Forest last
Saturday. In picking Cox as
the defensive backfield
standout, the selectors felt that
it was largely due to his efforts
that the Deacons didn't score
two or three more
touchdowns.
Arcaro from Princeton N.J.,
and Harsh, a Blairsville, Pa.
native, who is one of the Penn,
State rejects who didn't go to
Wahoo-land, led Wake in their
9-7 upset of Duke.
