The spoked menace has invaded the Lawn in ever-greater numbers this fall, overflowing all available bike racks near Cabell Hall. There are about three bicycles for every rack space, according to one estimate. Such over-crowding has become a wearisome fact of life to beleaguered automobile drivers on the Grounds, but for two-wheeled riders who hoped for a little case of movement, the recent bicycle boom has proved appalling. The owners of these bicycles have competed successfully with cars and pedestrians in the hourly rush to and from Cabell Hall and the central Grounds. Now they must park their craft in an area never designed for such heavy use. Perhaps students might consider resorting to unicycles.
