Beginning at 9 yesterday morning, students, faculty, the Assistant Dean, and even the Dean of the School of Architecture all pitched in to move the library of the School of Architecture from its old location in Fayerweather Hall to its new one in the just-finished Fine Arts complex. The school's 15,000 volumes were all moved to the new building by 3:30 p.m. More books are scheduled to be moved at a later date from the Fine Arts library. The transfer operation, huge in itself, was hampered by yesterday's intermittent rain. The complex will also contain its first classes this semester.
