Classes Suspended
Music, medal presentations and scholastic recognition are all
part of the program, which is open to the public. Classes will
be suspended from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. for the occasion.
The academic procession will leave the Rotunda for Cabell
Hall at 10:45 a.m. Guest speaker at the convocation will be
Grayson L. Kirk, president of Columbia University and a
noted scholar in international affairs. His topic is "The Umpirage
of Reason."
The invocation and benediction will be given by the Rev.
Henry Bryant Mitchell, rector of Trinity Episcopal Church.
