ELECTION OF THE RECTOR

In accordance with the procedures in Section 4.11 of the Manual of the Board of Visitors adopted on 26 February 1966, the Board elected Joseph H. McConnell Rector of the University of Virginia for a four-year term beginning 1 March 1970.

The Rector then announced that the Executive Committee will be elected at the meeting on 11 April 1970. Mr. Kuykendall and Dr. Kendig will serve as a nominating committee. The Rector will announce other committee appointments soon.
