ELECTIONS

The following resolution was adopted

RESOLVED by the Board of Visitors of The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia
that the following persons be and they are hereby elected to the faculty

Mr. Herbert Robinson Blackwell as Junior Instructor in English, half-time, for one year,
effective 1 September 1961, at a salary of $2,450.

Mr. Charles Bunn, as Lecturer in Law, for one year, effective 1 September 1961, at a
salary of $1,500

Mr. Osvaldo Chinchon as Junior Instructor in Romance Languages, for one year, effective
1 September 1961, at a salary of $4,900.

Mr. Everett Uberto Crosby as Visiting Assistant Professor of History, for one year, effective
1 September 1961, at a salary of $6,900.

Mr. Charles Luther Fry, Jr., as Assistant Professor of Psychology, for three years, effective
1 September 1961.

Mr. Harry Paul Glassman as Instructor in Law, half-time, for one year, effective 1 September
1961, at a salary of $3,000.

Mr. Francis Russell Hart as Assistant Professor of English, for three years, effective
1 September 1961, at a salary of $7,500.

Mr. Paul Edward Kelly as Assistant Professor of Education, for three years, effective
1 September 1961.

Dr. Carl S. Lingamfelter as Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology, for three years,
effective 1 July 1961, at no salary from the University.

Mr. Philip A. Loomis, Jr., as Lecturer in Law, for the second semester of the 1960-1961
session, at a salary of $2,000.

Mr. Eugene Steven McVey as Acting Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering, for one
year, effective 1 September 1961, at a salary of $8,800.

Mr. William Craig Stubblebine as Acting Assistant Professor of Economics, for one year,
effective 1 September 1961.

Mr. David Edward Underdown as Associate Professor of History, effective 1 September 1962,
at a salary of $8,300.

Mr. Henry Conrad Warlick as Junior Instructor in English, half-time, for one year, effective
1 September 1961, at a salary of $2,450.

Mr. David Benson Weaver as Visiting Professor of Law, for one year, effective 1 September
1961, at a salary of $11,800.

The resolution was adopted unanimously so far as all the elections were concerned, except
the election of Mr. Charles Bunn. In Mr. Bunn's case, three negative votes were cast.
