FILLING OF VACANCY ON THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
The Rector announced with regret the resignation of Visitor William M. Birdsong as a member of the Executive Committee, effective 9 August 1968. As required by Section 3.1 of the 1966 Manual of the Board of Visitors, which provides that "Any vacancy on the Executive Committee shall be filled for the unexpired term at the next regular meeting of the Board and by written ballot if there is more than one nomination," the Rector called for the election of a Visitor to serve on the Executive Committee until the next Annual Meeting in June 1969.
On motion of Mr. Kuykendall, seconded by Mr. Walker, Mr. Wilkinson was unanimously elected as a member of the Executive Committee for the unexpired portion of Mr. Birdsong's term.
