Lord over all, Thy Spirit pour,
In that full everlasting shower,
On every child of Adam's race!
Then all our agonies are o'er,
And never wilt Thou chide us more,
Or from Thy church conceal Thy face:
Then wilt Thou on Thy throne appear,
Triumphant with Thine ancients here,
While various crowns Thy brow adorn:
Then shall the saints Thy glory see,
Till time commence eternity,
And all with Thee to heaven return.
