Suddenly over me I heard a voice,
That seemed to reach to me from some clear star,
Speaking dearest consolation:—
“Thou hast pierced to my heart with the dart of thy weeping,
Grievest thou, Emer, for me?”
And the voice was Cuhoolin's, and the dear consoler was he;
And he lifted me up to his lips, and I clung to his breast still weeping,
“For whom should I sorrow but thee?”
