BY GERARD DOW
True, true, very true; but you seeIt's useless to argue with me.
Ascetical scruples? Fiddle-dee-dee!
She's there, in the Dresden gallery—
‘A girl with a candle’—19c—
And any one, worthy to loosen her sandal,
Would give, though a belted earl,
His total possessions to blow out her candle,
I tell you, and kiss that girl!
