HYMN XXXIV. For SUNDAY.
I
Arise—arise—the Lord aroseOn this triumphant day:
Your souls to piety dispose,
Arise to bless and pray.
II
Ev'n rustics do adorn them now,Themselves in roses dress;
And to the clergyman they bow,
When he begins to bless.
70
III
Their best apparel now arraysThe little girls and boys;
And better than the preacher prays
For heav'n's eternal joys.
