THE DEAD NUPTIAL.
It
was a nuptial of the dead,
Hope was a corse when she was wed,
Her loathèd bridegroom was Decay,
And Sorrow gave the bride away;
And the wedding-priest was Care,
And the bride-bed's fruit, Despair.
