Virginia Mobe Shows
Anti-Army Movies

The Virginia Mobe (new mobilization
to end the war in Vietnam)
will present two anti-army films
tonight in Maury Hall.

The first film is "The Brig." It is
the nightmarish story of life in a
Marine Corps jail. The movie is
based on a play by Kenneth Ross,
performed by "The Living Theater,"
and directed by Jonas and
Adolfus Mekas. It has appeared at
festivals in Venice, London, and
New York, and received an award
at the Cannes Film Festival in
1966.

The second presentation is
called "Army." It is a documentary
about life in an American army
training camp.

The showing of these films is the
beginning of an anti-army, antidraft,
and anti-ROTC campaign to
be conducted by the Virginia Mobe.

There will be three shows, at 5
p.m., 7:30, and 10. Admission price
is $0.50.
