The bullish back is the mainstay
of the Duke attack. If Virginia's
improved defense can contain him
the Cavaliers may well pull off
what looks to be a possible upset.

The Duke line in front of him
may be something troublesome to
contend with, however. Calabrese
even gave his blockers most of
the credit in the defeat that Duke
inflicted on the Cadets.

Virginia also has a strong running
game, although it is probably
a bigger surprise to the experts
than is Duke's. The game may
turn out to be a real test of ground
maneuvers and ball-control ability.

Thus defenses on both sides
should see a great amount of
action. No one from Durham can
really remember a quick, tight
Cavalier defense with good linear
speed so Duke may be surprised
to find one Saturday. The Wahoos
will have to get to Quarterback
Al Woodall in a hurry, however,
for though the man gains little
renown for his legwork, his passing
provides an excellent backdrop to
the talents of Calabrese.
