Then rose a Spirit, at a bound,
From off the pearl-besprinkled ground,
(Pearls that made the earth appear
Beauteous as a mirror clear!)
And, with her tresses, swept away
The tears that on her eyelids lay;
With voice harmonious silence broke,
And these the gentle words she spoke:
