Epigr. 30.

Florus exceeded all men of our time,
So braue, so pert, so lust ye, and so trimme:
But sodainly me thought he did decline,
So wanne, so blanke, so sily and so thinne.
I aske the cause, he leads me through the streete,
He brings me to his house, where I may see,
A woman fayre, softe, gentle and discreete.
Behold saith Florus what hath tamed me.
What is this true? can such a wise doe so?
Then how must he be tamd which hath a shroe?
