Christmas Cheer From VMI
'Twas the week before Christmas and all thru the state
Not a team was a winner not a one had looked great.
The Big Five was slated for Hampton with care
In hopes a lot of paid fans would be there.
The players were snug in their uniforms slick
While visions of field goals gave them their kick.
The coaches were nervous at the thought of the thing.
As they knew that just one would emerge as the King.
'Twas a glorious plan, on old-time "head-spinner."
'Cause some Big Five team would come out as a winner.
