'Rock Lustre' Plays
In Concert Tonight

By Edward Pancoast

"Rock Lustre," playing blues
and hard rock, will be making their
first public appearance this fall on
Friday Dec. 5 in Bayly Museum.

The Charlottesville based group,
with Charlie Pastorfield as lead
guitar and vocalist, Corky Schoonover
on the drums, B.B. Beiseigel at
base and vocal, began playing

illustration
around the University last year as
first-year men. Gray Barbee on
rhythm guitar, joined them this
year to complete an innovative and
fresh sound. The group likes to
experiment but more important
they want people to like their
music, to take pleasure in their
sound.

Along with Rock Lustre will be
a light show plus whatever listeners
may want to bring as a gag. The
event is sponsored by Modulus
Magazine of the School of Architecture
in order to increase funds
for the publication of a higher
quality magazine.

At the same time Modulus is
attempting to study what students
do in order to diversify their
educational experience at Virginia
by sponsoring various activities
such as Rock Lustre and noting the
feelings and intensities of the
group.

The dance concert will be 8-12
p.m. and cost $0.75 admission.
