[Thou hast my kind Preserver been]
Even to hoar hairs will I carry you, &c.
—xlvi. 4.
Thou hast my kind Preserver been
Even from my mother's womb;
Thou wilt deliver me from sin,
While hastening to the tomb:
To hoary hairs Thou bear'st my load;
Made, and redeem'd by Thee,
Father, Thou art in Christ my God,
And shalt for ever be.
