Eternal Rock, project Thy shade,
Extend to me Thy friendly aid,

While at Thy foot, a sinner I,
Weary, and spent, and dying lie:
Cover'd by Thee, my soul would rest
With pardon and salvation bless'd,
Till through Thy riven side I rise,
And see Thee fill both earth and skies.
