[As eagles fluttering o'er their nest]
As birds flying, so will the Lord defend, &c.

Protect their callow brood,
The Lord shall guard the souls that rest
In His atoning blood:
With tenderest care He passes o'er
His people to defend,
And saves from the destroyer's power,
