A familiar sight on Rugby Road is colorful Beta Bridge, named for the nearby Beta Theta Pi fraternity house. Decorating it with inspiring messages seems to be a favorite pastime of students the walls of the bridge seem to invite public acclamations. Several times a year the whole bridge gets a paint job by vandals of the night. Last spring, the purple-and-orange paint job literally lit up Rugby Road. First-yearmen will fast become familiar with Beta Bridge's graffiti as they investigate the fraternities.
