[So dearly-bought I must be Thine]
I am my Beloved's, and my Beloved is mine.
—vi. 3.
So dearly-bought I must be Thine:
But tell me, Lord, that Thou art mine,
If mine indeed Thou art,
If Thou hast given Thyself for me,
To make me capable of Thee,
O speak it—in my heart.
