17 Cupido & Timor, constitutum.

Desire and Fear the Worldling ever martyrs,
Still double-racked with Two divers Tortures:
Desire's a Fire, running through all his Bones,
Which dries him, fries him, and his Rest bereaves:
His Fear's a Frost, chilling his hart at-once,
Killing his Hopes, spilling the Webs hee weaves:
So that, distract with Fear and with Desire,
In Frost hee fries, and freezes in the Fire.
