[XII. As rooted to the rock the yearning sea-weed grows]
As rooted to the rock the yearning sea-weed grows
And sways unto the tide, and feels its ebbs and flows;
And sways unto the tide, and feels its ebbs and flows;
So unto Reason fixed, yet floating ever free
In Feeling's ebb and flow the Artist's life should be.
In Feeling's ebb and flow the Artist's life should be.
