No Fool

Now the average liberal, as
opposed to the average moderate or
conservative, is no fool. He tends to
have one strong ground rule for
defining bad violence, and that is
that the more likely the violence is
to affect him, the worse it is. On
the other hand we find that most
conservatives, who can't hold a
candle to the liberals when it comes
to sophistry, make their value
judgments on a different scale.

The conservative, who is probably
a veteran, or at any rate largely
given to the support of Government
violence, believes that good violence
is that which is for a good
cause, like thwarting the International
Communist Conspiracy of
Godless Aggression, or showing the
nigras their place.
