Terps' Depth Key
The Terps' depth in the midfield
was greatly felt; they held
the ball throughout the first, third
and most of the fourth quarter.
Most of the face-offs went to the
visitors.
Penalties hurt the University's
team, especially in the third quarter.
All-American defenseman
Peter Coy was penalized three
times, something unusual for a
player of his caliber. While different
Cavaliers were in the penalty
box, Maryland took advantage of
the situation and scored.
Displaying a wide and varied
attack, the Terps had six players
who hit the net. Mike Thomas
led them with 3 goals and 1 assist.
Coy played on star attackman
Steve LaVoute and held him to
only 1 goal.
