AFTER READING TENNYSON'S “IN MEMORIAM”
Then came the grand cessation of the song,As of an autumn gale which long has blown,
Bowing the woods and tossing all the streams;
A last majestic gust that leaves the land,
And passes, with deep silence close behind,
Out o'er the seas, and onward to the stars.
