De Marone, Epig. 92.

Maro a Vow did make but somthing lowd
For an old Friend, by a feirce Ague bow'd;
That if this sickness spared him from the Grave,
Great Jove a grateful Sacrifice should have.
The Doctors promised certain health: O now
Maro makes Vowes to scape the former Vow.
