BURIAL:

the practice of laying the dead in the ground rather than disposing of their bodies by CREMATION, exposure, or some other means of rapid destruction. It is the TRADITIONAL means of disposing of the dead in CHRISTIANITY and remains the only really accepted method in ISLAM because of BELIEFS associated with the RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD.
