657.
[Jesus Thine anointed One]
O Lord God, turn not away the face of Thine Anointed.
—vi. 42.
Jesus Thine anointed One
For helpless sinners prays:
Canst Thou disregard Thy Son,
Or turn away His face?
Him Thou always hear'st well-pleased,
My Intercessor at Thy side;
Save me then, the soul distress'd
For whom Messias died.
