Where Change and Nature move:
What Slave would drag so dull a chain
As Constancy in Love?

Repeated pleasure always cloys,
And long enjoyments pall;
If Life can boast of any Joys,
Variety is All.

Examine well a female heart,
The truth of this you'll find;
It always will attempt to part
Almost as soon as joyn'd.
