FAB. XIV. The Horse and Ass.

A Horse, whom guilded Equipage made gay
Commands a Drudging Ass to yield the way,
But when diseasd, and to a Cart condemn'd,
The Ass lookt big, and his owne form esteem'd.

Morall

The great are often lost in stormes of State,
While the poore Cottager despises fate.
