(Our lead editorial in Saturday's edition
contained a typographical error which
regrettably altered the meaning of an
important sentence. We referred to the next
18 months as "a now insignificant portion" of
Mr. Shannon's tenure as President of the
University. It should have read, "a not
insignificant portion," etc. We regret the
