Cosmology To Perform At Prism
This weekend the Prism
Coffee House will present a
unique musical experience by
the name of Cosmology.
Cosmology blends elements of
folk, Jazz, and Indian ragas
into a style likely to expand
the listener's musical horizons.
The group features vocals
by Bob Crawford and Dawn
Thompson, both of whom
formerly were frequent
performers at the Prism while
living in Charlottesville.
Instrumentally, the group has
Crawford on guitar, Reed
Wasson on bass, Vinnie Golia
on auto harp, flute, soprano
saxophone, and percussion,
Steve Shapiro on flute, Bob
Jospe on drums, and Ron
Pflugfelder on tambourine.
Cosmology performs mostly
original material with
occasional songs of James
Taylor, Richie Havens, Tim
Buckley. Members of the
Cosmology are currently living
and rehearsing on the Zuni
Indian reservation in
southwestern New Mexico.
Cosmology: Blending Diverse Styles
The Prism opens at 8:00
P.M. Cosmology will do three
sets, the first beginning at
9:15. Admission is $.75 per
person and $1.25 per couple.
