Summer Recreation
Most of us have too much - too
many possessions to worry about,
care for, move, clean under. But
many of our fellow human beings
have too little - too little of the
world's wealth, too little
opportunity, too little concern
from people who could help.
Confidence, friendship,
sportsmanship, swimming, boating,
crafts and sports skills, and two
weeks of tender loving care are
offered to Charlottesville and
Albemarle County children who
would not otherwise have a summer
camping and recreational
opportunity - at Camp Faith, a
day camp that is the high point of
the year for almost a thousand
young people. Area teenagers
manage the program and learn
about responsibility, individual
dignity and concern for their fellow
man under the direction of a
college-age staff supported by area
churches and civic leaders.
