Jesus, dear departing Lord,
Hang we on Thy latest word,
Us who can Thy word receive,
Fatherless Thou wilt not leave:
Though we may a moment mourn,
Yet we look for Thy return,
Now enjoy the earnest given,
Then ascend with Thee to heaven.
