To The Earle Of Sovth-hampton.
No storme of troubles, or cold frosts of Friends,Which on free Greatnes, too too oft, attends,
Can (by presumption) threaten your free state:
For these presaging sea-birds doe amate
Presumptuous Greatnes: mouing the best mindes,
By their approach, to feare the future windes
Of all calamitie, no lesse then they
Portend to sea-men a tempestuous day:
Which you foreseeing may before hand crosse,
As they doe them, and so prevent the losse.
