Just recently, the Student Council
of The University approved as an
official school organization The
Student Dating Service which was
created early this fall. The object of
The Service is to provide University
students with dates at nearby girls
schools. Our immediate goal is to
provide dates for the weekend of
February 27 thru 29. A number of
neighboring girls schools have already
indicated their cooperation.
Dates are arranged on the basis Tickets For The 8:15 Concert At Lane High School Are Available At Newcomb Hall And The Door For $1.50 For Students
of a questionnaire which both
parties fill out. All that a Virginia
student need do is pick up a
questionnaire, fill it out and return
it to the Dating Service. We then
will give the student the name and
pertinent information on a girl

then need do is contact his date and
arrange for their weekend. There
will be a small $0.25 charge for the
guy to cover the basic expenses of
the club. There will be no charge
for the girls.
A desk will be open on the
second floor of Newcomb Hall
from noon to 1:00 on Mondays,
Tuesdays and Wednesdays starting
next week, for those students who
wish to use our service. Students
should be reminded that dates are
arranged on a first come, first
served basis.
We certainly hope that our
organization will be of great service
to The University and that all
students will feel welcome to use it.
